No sounds after splash screen

thank you for reaching our forum with this problem that you are experiencing.

Can you please try these workaround first?

• Verify your game files in Steam – right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files
• Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file (it means your game configuration will be deleted) – you can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
• Delete ShaderCache folder – same access as above
• Back up (so you won't loose you saves, blueprints etc.) your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
• Restart Steam
• Update your sound drivers
• Reinstall the game – please make sure you do the clean reinstall, deleting all possible leftovers from both – the Roaming/SE folder as well as from Steam/steamapps/common/Space Engineers. So all the files are installed correctly afterwards.
• Make sure your operating system is fully updated

If anything from this list would work for you, can you please share me more information on this? When exactly did this problem start to happen? It was working fine before? Is there any change when you e.g. use headphones and speakers?

Is the sound working fine in other games and programs?

Can you please also share me the log file from your game? Please pick a log file from a game session where you experienced this problem.

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
