After selecting a controller no inputs works
Solved
After i choose a controller from the drop down menu, there is no more input and from either the controller or the keyboard and mouse.
I have to "End Task" in the Task manager.
I tried everything the internet has suggested.

thank you for reaching our forum with this problem that you are experiencing.
First of all, can you please tell me what controller you are using?
The game officially supports only controllers for Xbox One and Xbox Series X on PC.
What exactly is happening on your side?
Do you have the controller connected to your PC before you launch the game and change the settings for that when the controller is properly connected?
So you are able to navigate in the menus and control the game using the mouse and keyboard, but as soon as you switch to controller, no input works whatsoever? When changed in the Main menu and in the Settings in the game as well?
Or is problem something different (flickering UI of mouse and keyboard vs the one from the controller... )?
Can you please share a screen recording of this issue on your side, so I have better understanding of the steps you are taking.

I found out what was causing the issue.
It appears it what caused by my microphone's USB. I was almost sure it was a Space engineers issue since it never did that before but has started acting up recently.
After having hanging issues when I plugged in any USB devices. I started wondering where it came from. Even reinstalling Windows completely from a USB drive.
It appears to be working now. Even detecting my controller as an Xbox One Controller now. (Before it was detected as a Xbox 360 Controller in SE).
I opened a ticket here because I was having the hanging only when selecting the controller in SE controls options. It would hang for 25-30 seconds so I was impatient and deemed the controls inoperative. If I would have waited, I would have probably had a better understanding of what was happening.
