Hello, justin,

thank you for reaching our forum with your problem.

Can you please provide me more information?

What is the exact situation on your end now, please?

You have what application from SE installed on the new SSD drive, exactly? Just this game itself, the "Space Engineers Dedicated Server" app, or both of them?

There were no issues before you switch the hard drive?

Any prior saved games from single player are still working? Or you are experiencing the same issue there as well?

Are you able to start a new game on the server? Are only the old saves affected?

Did you uninstall the game (the server app) completely and install it anew to the new drive, or did you just copy-paste it there?

Can you check if there are still everything present (saves, blueprints...) in the Roaming folder?

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers(Dedicated).

Can you also please send me a log file (if any present) from the dedicated server folder?

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards

Hello, justin,

thank you for your reply.

What exactly means "I cut the server files and moved them"? What files? From where to where?

Are those by any chance the files with the saves?

The saves are stored altogether in the hidden Roaming folder. You can access it by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to this folder. There, if you follow "\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\", there are stored your data (blueprints, saves, logs...) of the single player and Lobby multiplayer games.

If you will navigate to "\Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated\Saves" it is this place where you server saves has to be stored. Exactly the same as for the single player games, that are working for you (as you mentioned).

Can you please confirm me that you left this Roaming folder and the files (saves, logs...) there on this place and you reinstalled/moved only those folders/files that are installed in the "Steam/steamapps/common/"?

If in doubt of the location of your files or where it should go, please feel free to try to start completely new world in the DS app, just launch any world, load in, save the world and leave. If this brand new game without any mods and issues gets saved properly in the game (the "success" message), please go check the folder ("\Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated\Saves"). The newly created save should be present there.

If you would move all the save files to this folder, there should be no issue in the DS app to be able to load it (as the new one that you have tried).

Kind Regards

I found the folder, but I believe when I installed the server on the new drive it over wrought the roaming folder and the saves. which happens the be on the C drive and I didn't realize that and never copied that folder, before I reinstalled the server.
