Never Surrender scenario not starting

OneSki shared this bug 4 months ago
Won't Fix

I spent a week working through the progression and building up enough resources and a ship to go for my Scrap Delivery achievement. When I arrived at the Space Base location... nothing happened. I built up the defenses, flew around for about 30 minutes, flew back, hit the "next wave" button, and... nothing. The only excitement was a pirate ship that wandered too close and got obliterated.

I've looked through the control panel to see if there's something I can activate manually to force the scenario to start, but no.

I have noticed an annoying bug that started after I disconnected my ship from my planet-side base, after building it with a projector and filling all the fuel and batteries up to maximum; every time I hop into the cockpit, the ship says "no fuel" repeatedly, despite the fact that I have plenty of fuel and power. Could that bug be causing the scenario not to work?

I'm really hoping there's a solution to this and that I don't have to restart the whole scenario again.

Hello, OneSki,

thank you for reaching our forum with this problem that you are experiencing, and we are sorry that it is happening on your side.

I have tried to start and play Never Surrender scenario couple of times, but every time I did approach the base in the space, the countdown started as well as the first (and other) wave.

Can you please provide me more information?

Are you playing the game in safe mode or in experimental? Are there any active mods on the save or are you playing vanilla (no mods) game?

Does this behavior happens every time you start this scenario? Can you please try to start it anew, without any mods, in space and just fly towards the base and check if the scenario would start properly?

What exactly did you do last before you did try to go for the base to start the first wave? Was it anything special, out of ordinary, anything that I can try to follow as well on my side?

The best would be if you can share the affected safe file with me so I can check it there as well in your exact environment.

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards
