thank you for reaching our forum with this problem that you are experiencing and we are sorry that it is happening to you.

If I get it right. this is the very first time you try to launch and play the game? You did not play it before? This is the very first installation?

Can you please try first these general workarounds? In most cases, performing these steps will solve most of the issue.

The steps are:

  • Verify your game files in Steam – right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files
  • Delete ShaderCache folder – you can access your this folder by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Reinstall VC Redist 2017
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated

Please let me know if any of these steps fixed the problem on your end, or if there is any new behavior shown, after you did these. Also please send me another log file after you perform these and there still would be some problem with the game.

After reinstalling VC Redist 17 game did boot succesfully (should i have said launch instead of booting maybe? after all it did generate log files.)

(i have tried all the other options from the top).

Yes this was the case.

-It boots consistently.
