As the title says, when i open space engineers on steam, it just opens in the background with no cpu and gpu usage.

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. If Space Engineers is not launching properly and seems to be running in the background without utilizing CPU and GPU resources, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Verify your game files in Steam
-Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files
Reinstall VC Redist 2017
Update graphic drivers
Make sure your operating system is fully updated
If the steps above did not help, please back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it (type %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. There delete SpaceEngineers folder). Make sure all files are gone, then reinstall the game.
If you are still experiencing issues, please share your log file with me.

Thank you for the log file. The issue seems to be a missing config file. You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
Try to locate the file and if present delete it and if possible borrow a copy of this file from another player and paste it in. Then try to launch the game.
You can also delete the SpaceEngineers folder in Roaming folder (back it up before doing so) and make sure that all files are gone. After that reinstall Space Engineers and try to launch the game. If your game still does not launch, share your latest log file with me again please.
