Remote Block Precision Mode causes remote to get "stuck" at a point...

Jagodragon shared this bug 6 months ago
Won't Fix

When precision mode is on the remote will get "stuck" trying to hit a waypoint and not move past that point. this does not happen at all points nor the same point each time...

The drone will get to the point in question and turn right, left, right, left, right, left... forever...

I am using the remote on the earthlike planet, in One way mode, with 7 waypoints, and a top speed of 50 m/s.

Hello, engineer!

Thank you for writing to us.

We attempted to replicate the issue on our end using the Earth Like planet, with the said settings on the Remote Control block and the grid/drone fly on the waypoints without having any issues.

Could you please provide more details about the issue you experienced?

Did the world where you experienced this issue have any MODs active? If so, the issue may have occurred due to the MODs. To check this, kindly create a new/fresh vanilla world (with no active MODs) and paste the affected grid/drone there. Check if the issue persists. If it does, please review the gyroscope settings on the grid/drone.

  • Try disabling the 'Override Controls' option and increasing the power.
  • If your grid/drone is too heavy, consider adding a few more gyros, as increasing the mass of the grid can decrease the ship's responsiveness.

If you still experience the issue, kindly send us a video/screen recording showing the issue as it occurs, along with the world save file (with the affected grid there) and the log file from the time this issue occurred.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Kind Regards,
