Very slow LCD/cockpit panel updates

Won't Fix

Hello,

I did not find this issue others have, so I decided to put this here.

The issue is that I have very slow updates on LCD panels and other screens on all blocks.

for example when I place a new LCD panel, edit the text, change the font color and go out, the screen say still "online" for a minute, then the first text appear and after 30sec of so the font type color become visible, in other words, extremely slow responses...

The game runs fast, I have a intel i7-10700 with nvidia geforce RTX 3060ti running on 75-121FPS.

I did a lot to find out where this come from, like removing ALL the mods from my savegame, disconnecting all the other grids by disabling antennas, or delete the cockpit of LCD panel and build again... The issue is solved for a while but during gameplay it comes back, like the Render GPU load was 42%, now 99% again... but I do not experience any performance issue other than this screen/LCD issue.

Hope some advice or know issue from your side?

many thanks,

Erwin.

Hello, Erwin!

Thank you for writing to us.

As you have mentioned using MODs in the affected world save, please note that even after removing the MODs from the world, their dependencies still remain in the world save, and the issues could still persist in the same world without MODs.

To further investigate this issue, could you kindly create a new/fresh vanilla world (with no active MODs) and check if the issue still occurs in the vanilla world as well?

If the issue persists, kindly send us a screen recording/video showing the issue as it occurs, the vanilla world save file, and the log when the issue occurred.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
