Sensor does not detect player in a bed

Douglas Jordan shared this bug 15 months ago
Solved

I have a room built inside a ship and there is a sensor just inside the door, the range for the sensor is set to detect when player enters room. If the player enters a bed of any type in the room, vanilla, inset or half bed, the sensor does not detect the player in the room as the out action is activated. Get out of the bed and in action activates.

Seems like this would not be the desired behavior since the player is still within the sensor range while in the bed.

Unfortunately not a bug. getting in any seat counts as being part of the grid. Sensor only detects players not in seats. This includes beds, desks, cryo pods, any cockpit/helm..

I get where you're coming from though.. sitting in a room doesn't mean you want the lights off.

Desk seats in the same room do not have the problem.
