Grids Not Moving

Joshua Clark (Face-First Gaming) shared this bug 13 months ago
Won't Fix

I was building a grid, the large grid that was painted in the last backup. I had just finished painting the grid, and I went to test if the build could fly and how fast it went. I used the main cockpit in the grid, and it wouldn't move. One of the gyroscopes was set to override, but the hydrogen thrusters weren't doing anything. The thrusters had conveyor access, the grid had hydrogen and power, and I made sure that the grid was set as a ship and not a station, and none of the thrusters had overrides, but the grid still wouldn't move.

On a side note, when I checked for .log files, I found two SpaceEngineers.log files and two VRage.log files and am sending both SpaceEngineers.log files because I'm not sure which is which. Is that normal, and if it isn't is there a fix I can implement?

Hello, Joshua!

Thank you for writing to us.

We have attempted to replicate the issue on our end and were successful in controlling the grid from the CPT Flight Seat (please refer to the attached video for reference). Furthermore, when disabling the Main Cockpit of this seat, we were also able to control the grid from the other three control seats.

In regard to the other two ships in the world save, we have blueprinted them on the Earth Planet world (as they were intended for flight in the environment), and they also be controlled from their respective cockpits.

It's possible that you may have encountered issues with controlling your ESC Heavy Escort Condor ship due to active MODs in the world save. We recommend blueprinting this grid and pasting it into a new vanilla world with no active MODs and check if the issue persists.

If the issue continues to occur, kindly provide us with a screen recording/video showing the issue as it occurs on your end. Additionally, please share the vanilla world save file and the latest log.

Kind Regards,
