Won't Fix

Hello dear support members from Keen house.

I have been struggling with these issue's for a couple of days now and i cannot seem to get it fixed.

The game crashes about 4/5 times i try to load my world. whenever im actually in the world i can play just fine. but its a hassle to get it working.

I've tried everything already re-installing SE, deleting the roaming folder, verifying files, using -skipintro and renaming the video folder, and some other stuff i cant remember right now.

I get 0 exceptions in my logs(see files attached) only some mod errors which are normal according to the mod author.

Now when i look into the windows event manager i see an Application error and it seems amdxx64.dll is crashing everytime.(see images below)

Now i am on the latest AMD drivers for my hardware and i have tried downgrading one update aswell but to no avail..

(i am using a AMD 6750 XT)

Some help would be appriciated!

Thanks.

I've tried AMD drivers: 23.7.2, 23.7.1, 22.11.2. All still crash.

Hello, shut ori,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. I am not sure which errors the mod creator said were normal, however I noticed more problems in the log caused my mods and scripts. The amdxx64.dll crash is often associated with malfunctioning mods or corruption.

Also I did not find the crash in the log file provided. Was the log created at the time of the crash?

I am not sure what other steps you have tried but here is what you can do.

Deactivate all mods, scripts and plugins for testing purposes. Try to load the save file. If you are still experiencing the crash then try the following:

  1. Install these libraries. It contains some files which could help you to resolve the issue.
  2. Make sure your operating system is fully updated
  3. Sometimes crashes can be related to hardware issues, such as overheating, memory problems, or other hardware failures. Please make sure if your computer is not overheating.
  4. DirectX and Visual C++ Redistributables: Ensure that you have the necessary DirectX version and Visual C++ Redistributable packages installed. Link here.

If none of the above worked, then please share your newest vanilla log file with me from the time of the crash. There should be crash information at the bottom of the document.

Thank you in advance.

Hello thank you for your responce.

I have tried all the provided steps but unfortunately it still crashes.

The installs were already installed, just as a precaution i used the repair function on all of them.

Windows is fully updated aswell. I've done a RAM & SSD test and there were no issue's found.

I've tried installing SE on 2 different harddrives aswell. (both ssd's)

I ran the game completely vanilla and still got the same crashes. It crashes less because of less loading times but it still crashes.(see attached logs)

Unfortunately there seems to be nothing in the logs that point why the game is crashing which is very strange..

If i look in the event log i see the same crashing event as listed above.

Normally i'm able to troubleshoot myself out of these situations but this time i'm really at a dead end..

Thank you for your time.

Hello, shut ori,

thank you for the new log and new information. Unfortunately, I was not able to find the crash info in this log again.

I have a couple question about your settings.

- Are you using Autosave? Some players reported having problems with this function and that deactivating it resolves some crashing.

- Can you lower your graphic settings down as much as possible for testing? Also please try to use windowed mode.

- I know you have already uninstalled Space Engineers but have you checked if all of the files were gone from the Roaming folder? Sometimes files get left behind when uninstalling and cause problems. If not you can rename the Space Engineers folder to something else (for example SpaceEngineersBackup). Restart your computer and then launch the game again (new folder will be created). If this does not resolve your issue you can rename the old folder and delete the new one.

- Are you playing offline or online? You can try switching the modes.

- Are you using a monitor or are you playing on your laptop? If you are using a monitor, please try to switch do your laptop screen.

- Have you noticed that the crashing happened after a particular action? Like a windows or game update. How long have you been playing Space Engineers? You are saying you are experiencing this in the past couple of days, however have you noticed other games crashing as well?

Since I cannot find any crash info in the log, would you be comfortable making a screen recording? If you are launching the game through Steam you can start there and show me your settings and the crash happening.

Thank you in advance.
