3x3 advanced rotor Custom Turret ai broken

Kent Sidden shared this bug 9 months ago
Won't Fix

I built a small grid custom turret that uses a 3x3 advanced rotor connected to a large grid advanced rotor part on a station. (Small grid hinge attached to the 3x3 advanced rotor) The gun performs normally using manual control. When I turn on the AI control. It points straight up in the air and wiggles 4 or 5 degrees side to side and up and down almost like it is broken or unable to move properly. Naturally I removed all the armor and this turret continues this "dance" whenever there was an enemy to shoot at and would stop when the enemy was gone. I have several other customs turrets in this same creative world but this is the only one that gives me problems and is also the only one to use a 3x3 advanced rotor to connect to the station. I think this may be a bug but you guys are the experts and maybe I'm just doing something wrong. Thank You.

Hello, Kent Sidden,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. Unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce it. Could you share a blueprint of the grid or a world save so I can test the behavior there?

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

  • You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,
