Poor performance after update

Won't Fix

Dear Keen Software House,

I play with i9 9900, 8gb Ram, Windows 10 and integrated graphics UHD 630. In the last month after updates I exprienced extreme performance dropouts, I could play with medium settings and now I have to play with low settings. Sometimes RAM becomes full. With other games the situation is the same as before. Space Engineers is the only one that now gives problems.

How can I fix that? Thank you

Alessandro

Hello, Alessandro Dolci,

thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, Integrated Intel graphics cards are not supported by us. Minimum requirements state that 8GB of system RAM is needed. However integrated graphics cards share this system memory and use part of it as its video ram. That means that by using an integrated graphics card you are taking away the RAM needed by the system and the game. The GPU is fighting over the memory with the system and the rest of the game. That means you are actually below the minimum requirements in regard to memory as well as by using an unsupported integrated GPU.

That said your setup is highly unusual as an i9 9900 is a top of the line CPU, pairing it with only 8GB of RAM and an integrated GPU is also not ideal. I would suggest investing into more RAM as that could actually help you speed up your day to day tasks on your PC as well as offer you better performance in our game even when using unsupported HW combination.

As stated above, your HW does not meet the minimal requirements so I cannot help you. Please let me know if you need my further assistance.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,
