Won't Fix

Dear Developer-Team,

I hope this email finds you well.

I have a technical problem with the game and have found nothing suitable when researching in forums. When moving the mouse the game stutters and the frame rate drops. I have tried various solutions but so far without success. Im using a Nvidia RTX 3060 and its unusual to stutter that much.

I hope to be able to solve the problem together with you.

If you need any further information please let me know.

best regards

Philip Wuestner

Hello, engineer!

Thank you for writing to us.

Could you try lowering your mouse polling rates (note: this is not the same thing as DPI)?

If the issue persists, attempt playing the game in Low/Mid graphic settings and launch a new vanilla world (with no active MODs or Plugins).

If the issue persists, please try the following workarounds ;

Verify your game files on Steam

  • Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg

Launch the game via Steam and try playing on the new vanilla world with Low or Mid graphics settings.

If the stutters persist, try optimizing the game using Nvidia GeForce Experience and launch the game from there.

Please inform us if any of these workarounds resolve the issue you've been experiencing.

Kind Regards,
