Lost progress

Guillermo Marcide Santamaría shared this bug 18 months ago
Solved

I played Space Engineers for years. I loved the game and played for 240 hours. I haven´t played for a while and I´ve come back to see that all my progress, saved worlds and ships are gone.

Hello, Guillermo Marcide Santamaría,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. Can you please share your latest log with me?

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Can you also look into the \Roaming\SpaceEngineers folder and try to search in the Saves and Blueprints folder to see if they are completely empty? When was the last time you played? Have you changed computers or was there any major update?

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

Hi

In the saves folder I have some data but it´s from a world I satarted 2 days ago to see updates. There is nothing else.

Yes, I have changed my computer. I downloaded the game again in this one. Are all my blueprints and worlds saved in the old one?

Hello, Guillermo Marcide Santamaría,

so what you are saying is that you played the game on your own computer. Then bought a new computer and started playing again? And now you cannot find the old saves on the new computer.

All of your saves and blueprints should be on your previous computer. Can you still access it?

Thank you for letting me know.

Yes, I think I can access it. So what should I do? Copy all the folders from my old computer in my new one?

Hello, Guillermo Marcide Santamaría,

that is great news. In that case just copy the entire SpaceEngineers folder to your new computer and replace the one that is there currently.

If you only want the saves (not blueprints, mods etc.) from your old gameplay, then you can only copy the Saves folder.

Thank you for letting me know if it worked.
