AI Defensive (Combat) does not remember it's flee action

Harrison Davies shared this bug 17 months ago
Reported

The AI defensive block can have an action assigned that it will perform when it starts to flee however when loading a save where it had one assigned it will not trigger (Over ~7 attempts I had it trigger once but with a 10 second delay). This is despite the block saying it is fleeing the hostile grid. The block action shows up under "setup actions" as if it were still assigned and clearing then reassigning fixes the issue.

(More specifically I had: A large grid station attached to voxels including a defensive ai block, movement ai block, and a timer block. The flee action was set to "trigger now" on the timer, the flee waypoint was ~100m away and the flee distance was set to 0m)

Hello, Harrison Davies,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. Can you please share your world save with me so that I can test this behavior there?

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

I have struggled to recreate the issue with a simpler grid but this one demonstrates it.

These are the steps to recreate the issue (included on an LCD):

Set Battery to space pirates

Observe no flee action

Set flee action to trigger now on Timer A

Save the game

Cut and paste battery back in (with keep ownership)

Observe Flee Action (Hangar door extends, missiles launch)

Load your save

Cut and paste battery back in

Once again observe no flee action

Thankyou for looking into this
