Spectator Cam Player Teleport hotkey doesnt work anymore

Solved

after the recent patch ctrl + space to teleport your character / ship (while being seated in one)

doesnt teleport you to the spectator cam anymore

how to reproduce:

Create new world that has the Spectator cam enabled > load in, press F8 > move somewhere > press ctrl + space.

Expected Result: Engineer should be teleported to the Spectator camera position.

Actual Result: Nothing happens.

this happens both on server, and singleplayer.

in the Admin menu the "Teleport Here" button still works for the Character, but this does not work if seated in a ship.

i found the problem!

its because of Power Toys. once its turned off i can use the hotkey again.

the module from Power Toys that causes this is called "Peek Preview" (it has a yellow folder as icon)

i dont know what exactly its called in english because i cant change that tool to a different language because it auto detects my system language (german)

anyways, thanks for the help. if someone else runs into this problem, check if its caused by Power Toys or any other application that uses ctrl + space as a hotkey.

thank you for letting us know.

I am still able to make this happen (teleporting the character as well as character sitting in the cockpit)

Using F8 free cam, moving somewhere and pressing Ctrl + Space works for me.

Can you please try these workarounds:

Verify your game files in Steam – right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files
Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file (it means your game configuration will be deleted) – you can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
Delete ShaderCache folder – same access as above
Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
Restart Steam
Reinstall VC Redist 2017
Update graphic drivers
Reinstall the game
Make sure your operating system is fully updated

If nothing from this above would work for you, can you please share me a save file from the affected game session?

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

It would also help me if you can share me a video showing this issue happening our your side so I can follow your steps.

i tried all of this, but sadly it didnt help :(

even deleted the whole SpaceEngineers folder in roaming but that also didnt help.

the save that i attached is literally a fresh started easy earth planet.

i also attached a video that shows whats going on. on this one you have to trust me, i'm pressing ctrl + space like crazy and it doesnt work. but "teleport here" works.

thanks for the help so far, i hope we can resove this.

I just actually did this and it worked for me, except it was actually bugged because I had spectator enabled but was in survival. I don't know if that's a bug, but I definitely felt a bit guilty.
