Can't make new world, Can't play with friends

Won't Fix

The way this started was that me and my friend were just trying to play creative mode but they got stuck on joining world every time they tried to join, granted I do have mods, but we tried without mods, same thing happened then it got worse at this point I can't even create a new world with or without mods it says unloading world every time I try to create a world. so all I can do now is play on worlds I already have created but without my friends. I can't even join other people's games. I have already tried verifying integrity of games files and it didn't work. Thanks

Hello, Nathan,

thank you for reaching our forum with your issue.

You can try our general workarounds first. Those are:

  • Verify your game files in Steam – I know you wrote you already did it, but there is no harm in trying it again
  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file (it means your game configuration will be deleted) – you can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
  • Delete ShaderCache folder – same access as above
  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Reinstall VC Redist 2017
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated

If nothing from above would work for you, can you please share me a log file from your game where you are experiencing this issue?

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
