Space Engineers deleted my saves files

Anton Kulishov shared this bug 17 months ago
Won't Fix

Hello, I have a problem for the last 2-3 weeks. I'm playing through GeForce Now and the game just deletes my saves. Last night I was working on the ship, but as soon as I closed the game and went to eat, when I returned the last saves were not there. My progress was rolled back a several hours. I have been asking about this problem from Nvidia technical support for these 2-3 weeks, but they say that they cannot contact their American colleagues on this issue. So my question is how to solve this problem, because I'm tired of this Sisyphean labor.

Hello, Anton Kulishov,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. However since you are using GeForce Now you need to try to solve it with them since this sounds like a problem with the service. If possible you can share your logs with me to rule out an error in Space Engineers. I am not sure if you can access them however.

You can also try to enable Steam cloud in game settings or to upload your world on Steam Workshop and then play as scenario.

Thank you for letting me know if you managed to speak with GeForce Now or if my advice helped.

Kind regards,

Hello, about the solution of the problem from GeForce Now technical support, the last weeks, I have been actively asking about this and yesterday (05/21/2023) I received a message that the problem has been accepted for work. From their side, I can only wait.

As for the logs, unfortunately, it will not work, because the service does not imply access to files.

As for the Steam cloud, it's been enabled since I first launched the game (And I still don't understand why my saves from my PC can't be played in the cloud, since this is the first time I've seen this since I've been using GFN). Yes, I uploaded my world to the Steam Workshop (I think it was a year ago), but my already old PC didn't appreciate it and reminded me why I even use GFN.

Hello, Anton Kulishov,

have you managed to get a message from GeForce? Unfortunately as I stated earlier, if the service deleted your files and you cannot access the logs, you will have to reach out to them as I can cannot offer support with it.

Thank you for understanding.
