Game Saves Destroyed By Your Update

Won't Fix

Hi, your last update has destroyed my game saves! I am making a youtube video series on Space Engineers giving your company free advertising, but if your software is going to prove this unreliable I will remove it from my channel, but that would be a shame, could you please provide some technical support?

thank you for letting us know about this.

Can you please specify more? What exactly is wrong? What is happening on your side?

Does the game tries to load, fail and take you back to Main menu, or crash? Or is there any other outcome of the issue?

Did you try to load the game from backups? Does that work, or not?

Is there anything interesting (error/exception) in the log file? Can you share it to me, please?

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

It would be also good if you can share me the whole save file, so I can take a look myself on that as well (please supply the backup folder within the save folder as well).

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

I did, I opened the folder he outlined, the save folder and it is completely empty, so I guess there is no recovery for my youtube series!

if you can start the game, there must be a log file. Can you please look again in the \Roaming\SpaceEngineers folder? There will be logs, so please send me those.
