Solved

I just set up a server with a previous save and my camera is not with my body, I can see my other character moving around but I can't move my camera 84c7c08a6314876f1dccd3c158b89c3c

thank you for reaching our forum with your issue.

Can you please specify more what is the issue exactly?

If I understand it correctly, you had a save from a single player and loaded it on DS? Or what do you mean by "...server with a previous save..."?

You are also mentioning "...my other character...". What does that mean? That you are connected to the server with two characters at one time?

Are you sure you did not just hit <F8> key that takes you to a free camera? That way you could see your own character and be able to still move it with the directional keys. If this is the case, you can go back to your character by pressing <F6>. Or you can also use <Ctrl> + <Space> to teleport your character on the place where this free camera is, again going back to the character control with <F6>.

Can you also please share me a log file from the client, not only from the server itself?

It might also help me if you would be able to share me whole save file so I can try it on my side as well.

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated\Saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

If you are able to provide me any other information, that can be also helpful.

I had already tried F6 but as I could see that the camera was attached to one character(where the picture was taken outside my base) and I was controlling the other one inside. I could look up and down while holding ALT and as a side note it appears the moon I had settled on has disappeared

It was a single player save move to a DS

Hello, Colby,

thank you for providing these.

However, once I spawned it (no matter if is SP or on this save on DS), I was introduced to the spawn screen and once I choose a place to spawn in, I spawned with my character with no issues.

Are you still experiencing this on you side, or was the issue fixed by something (e.g. your character dying)?

Can you please try to press <Backspace> key? That serves for forced death and respawn of your character. So in theory that should give you the option to spawn again, and properly in a medical room or other spawn options.

Please let me know if it works.
