Missing Ore on the Moon Base Start
Solved
I just started a moon base game with my son. and I dont see any ore anywhere. The starting ore detector does not even have any ore there. My son who joins my game can see there is ore but when he digs down to it he only gets stone? I have started several games and all had the same thing even with the Solar system start. There was ores on the earth like and asteroids on the way to the moon but nothing when we get there. I have not had this problem till the AI update but I have also not been on the moon in any of those games. Any help would be appriciated.

Hello, Brandon Mehmert,
the stone is usually found on the surface of the moon, you you have to dig deeper in order to find other types of ore. For example nickel will show up as yellow streak but you have to drill deeper to find it. I am attaching a screenshot as well. When I tested it I managed to find it quite easily. However if you are having problems can you please send me your save file so I can look around myself?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,

I have been playing since the game came out in Beta on steam so I am familiar with the game mechanics. This is a new start with the same problem. I flew around a bit with the ore detector and still have the same problem. I have tried the verify files with steam as well. Again others in my game can see the ore markers and even see the ore when we dig down but all they get is stone. As the host I don't see anything but stone. The ice on the ice cap is the only thing I could find. I did not check any asteroids or other planets on this save.

So after uninstalling and reinstalling the game I am now able to see ores in the moon maps. It was really odd that someone else in my game could see them but could not pick them up before but now it seems to be working.

Hello, Brandon,
thank you for updating me on the issue. I also tried to play in your save and I managed to find some ore. I am attaching a screenshot.
If reinstalling the game worked, can I close this thread as solved?
Thank you for letting me know.
