can you please double-check that you have the option "Experimental mode" turned On in the game settings? To verify, please navigate to Options – Game – General to find this option.
If that option is Off, can you turn it On? Please mind that you are able to switch the game mode only in the Main menu, not once already in the game/world.
Once the game is running in Experimental mode, there should not be any issue with this functionality. I just checked on my side and everything works fine once properly set in settings.
