[01.202.068] Event Controller "Connector is ready to lock" event doesn't update when false

Stephen Conklin shared this bug 12 months ago
Solved

Tested on modded and vanilla worlds to make sure it was not a mod issue. It was not.

When two connectors are in "Proximity", the "Connector is ready to lock" event triggers properly. However, when a grid leaves proximity of the connector monitored by an Event Controller, the Event Controller erroneously sees the monitored connector as still "ready to lock". If the disconnection is a shear, i.e.: the connectors slide past each other, it does update properly.

Steps to reproduce:

1: Have a grid with a connector and an Event controller.

2. Set the event to "Connector is ready to lock".

3. Select the connector to monitor and specify actions for both conditions (lights being toggled on and off were used in my case

4. bring another grid into proximity for the connector

5. event controller will register lock ready status on connector.

6. bring the other grid out of proximity to the monitored connector.

7. event controller will continue to register lock ready status on connector.
