Timer Blocks not working correctly

Paul Gillespie shared this bug 18 months ago
Won't Fix

Timer blocks have been failing to activate certain objects. It happens most commonly when its either a connector or when they're supposed to be turning a block on or off. I've tested it in various builds for various blocks with weird results. They always seem capable of switching the lock states on landing gear but switching locks on connectors rarely works. The same timer block can also lock landing gear but fail to turn on a single event controller so I know the timer block is activating, it just doesn't always do everything its supposed to.

Hello, Paul Gillespie,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. I tried to build a simple setup. I placed a battery, timer block, connector and a landing gear on a grid. When I setup the action to switch lock on both connector and landing gear, the timer did so every time. Can you please share you blueprint or save file so I can test it out there as well?

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link

  • You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

Thank you in advance.
