Space Engineers Won't Open

Won't Fix

When I open the game on Steam, nothing happens, although Steam says the game is running. Task manager doesn't show the game as running. I've tried reinstalling, verifying files, deleting every SE file and then reinstalling, reinstalling C++ Redistributable, it also seemed that the config file was a problem. I deleted the config file to see if the game would remake it, it did not. I created a new config file, but it still has an error. Most recent log has been attached, thank you for your time

Thank you for writing to us, and we apologize that you're experiencing this issue.

After investigating the provided log, it seems the game still can't find the config (SpaceEngineers.cfg) file, even though you have created a new one. To resolve this issue, you can try SE's new/fresh installation. To do so, first, backup your Blueprints and saved games from the \AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints and \SpaceEngineers\Saves to another folder/drive, and uninstall the game from Steam. Delete every leftover in the Roaming\SpaceEngineers and Steam\SpaceEngineers folders. Reinstall the game and try to play.

If the game works fine and the issue doesn't occur again, paste both \Blueprints and \Saves back to the\Roaming\SpaceEngineers folder.

If the issue persists, please send us the new log file.
