All hinges in game stop working for no reason

Won't Fix

Hi There,

I've searched the web for ages and can't seem to find a solution. It could be one of my mods or something else but here is my issue.

Hinges work just fine when I start the game. I can go into the control panel and choose max/min angle, speed, etc. However, I keep getting this glitch where I reload the game and all those options to control the hinges are gone. I can't control them or set anything. I had a ship with hinges and now none of them work. Reloading or trying an old save doesn't work. I haven't been able to recreate it but it is happening often and I have to scrap the entire world and start over. Have you heard of any glitch like this before?

I had a base with literally just a landing pad, a small reactor and I was using "Automatic LCDs 2" to show some info. I would quit without saving and reload and the hinges would all stop working.

Thanks for the help!

Hello, Avi Eshed,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. We are aware of some mods breaking hinges and rotors, however I want to make sure your problem is not caused by something else. Could you share further information with me?

Sharing your save file and or blueprints would be very helpful to me.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
  • You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,
