Capped number of saved blueprints

val dibona shared this bug 13 months ago
Won't Fix

I have had this issue for a while now and its been really annoying.

I like to save a ton of blueprints since I have a bunch of half - completed ships / projects but I seem to hit a cap of the number of blueprints I can save. I am using steam cloud to save them.

Whenever I use ctrl+B to save a ship the window opens but it doesn't actually save it, instead just opening the window. There isn't any dialogue that pops up. I have figured out that if I delete a blueprint that I have already saved then it is able to save the new ship. This makes me think there is a cap on the # of blueprints I can have or I am running out of memory somehow.

Is there a way to increase the # of ships I can save?

Hello, val,

thank you for reaching our forum with your problem.

Yes, there is a cap on the cloud blueprints that you can use/save there. Please see my image where you can locate the allocated memory (the orange area) for that so you can distinguish how many space you got left. However, it is not capped per number of blueprints saved there but based on their size.

If you run out of the cloud storage memory, you would either need to get it cleaned by deleting some blueprints, or you can start to save the blueprints locally so you can use more space (on your PC/disc) to save them.

To do so and switch the Steam cloud Off, please navigate to Options -> Game -> Enable Steam cloud. If you turn this option Off (untick it), the blueprints would save for you locally to your game folder: You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints.

Please let me know if this would solve your issue or you still need some more assistance from our side.

Kind Regards
