Won't Fix

Hello! I seem to have ran into a bit of a hangup after the server i was in updated. Server sent out a notice that it was shutting down to apply the update. I followed suit and did a clean install of the update and i was not able to connect to the server ( 66.55.156.92:27016 ) even trying to do a direct connect the server still will not respond to the handshake. One of the head admins suggested that I wipe the SpaceEngineers appdata folder then uninstall and reinstall clean and it still wont let me connect to their server. Please help<3

Hello, Muth,

I am very sorry you are experiencing this issue. I tried to connect to the server and I did not experience any problem. Can you please share your log with me from the time you tried to connect?

- You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

You can also try to:

Verify your game files in Steam

-Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

-You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

- It means your game configuration will be deleted

Delete ShaderCache folder

-Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg

Restart Steam

Reinstall VC Redist 2017

Update graphic drivers

Make sure your operating system is fully updated

Thank you for letting me know if any of these things worked.

Kind regards,
