World Failing To Load

Alex shared this bug 18 months ago
Won't Fix

Suddenly unable to load a world or its backups.

Tried clearing the config and shadercache as well as verify integrity of game files.

Loading other worlds seemed to work.

Hello, Alex,

thank you for writing to us regarding your issue.

After investigation of your log, I can see that you are using plugins.

There have been some changes in our Plugin Policy. Because of this, the existing Plugin Loader on the Workshop has been marked as deprecated and for this reason the plugins are no longer working as their used to do.

If you previously used the Workshop version you may need to clear/change your launch options. In Steam> right-click on Space Engineers > Properties > General > clear the 'Launch Options' box.

If you want to use plugins from now on, you can use the Plugin Loader from GitHub with new launch options and provide the steps written there: https://github.com/sepluginloader/PluginLoader

Kindly let me know if the above mentioned workarounds resolve your issue.

If not, please send me new log file where the plugins won't be present so I can re-investigate it and possibly provide other solution.

Kind Regards,

Keen Software House: QA Department

Emotion Controller cause the error.

If you know how to use SEToolbox, try to remove Emotion Controller from your world.

Hello, Alex,

can you please share the corrupted save file with me?

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Thank you in advance.
