Game crashes after installing Automation update

I just purchased the Automation DLC and installed it. When I start the game I see the splash screen with "Automation Update" in the title, but then it crashes. It says Space Engineers had a problem and crashed! I rebooted my system and reinstalled .Net 7.0, but I got the same message.
Not sure what to do now.

It was just the plug-in loader causing the issue.
