Game freezes
Solved
Hello. I tried playing Space Engineers on my pc, after finally getting a new one, and for some reason I keep freezing. Odd thing is, I froze in the main menu. I am thinking it can't be my set up, because I can run games with a higher demand on my pc. Please help me play again. The Lost Colony scenario looks really interesting.

Hello, Arron Lockhart,
I am sorry you are experiencing this issue.
Can you please share your log file from the time of the freeze with me?
- You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
You can also try the following:
Verify your game files in Steam
-Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files
Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file
-You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
- It means your game configuration will be deleted
Delete ShaderCache folder
-Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg
Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
Restart Steam
Reinstall VC Redist 2017
Update graphic drivers
Reinstall the game
Make sure your operating system is fully updated
Maybe a simple restart of your computer could help as well.
Please let me know if anything worked.
Kind regards,

Sorry, due to sinus issues and being on meds, I am a bit dumb this week. I deleted the shader folder and the config file and wanted to get a fresh report, (I previously re installed, verified the files on Steam), so I started the Lost Colony scenario and was able to play for an extended amount of time. It seems that the shaders or config files were the issue, as it was the only thing that was really changed.
