Cannot Join Dedicated EOS Server

Tucker Balch shared this bug 19 months ago
Won't Fix

I try to join a dedicated eos server to play with my friend who is on xbox. It has worked fine for the past 2 weeks. Now when I try to get on it puts me on the joining screen for a couple minutes then says it lost connection to server/host and tries again. This goes on indefinitly. I know it is not a internet issue because I just logged onto the server on my xbox but my pc still cant join. What is going on?

Hello, Tucker Balch,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue.

Can you please try the following:

Verify your game files in Steam

-Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

-You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

- It means your game configuration will be deleted

Delete ShaderCache folder

-Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg

Please let me know if you are still having the issue. If so, then please share your log with me. It is located in the Roaming folder in the SpaceEngineersDedicated folder. Can your friend join the server?

Thank you.

Kind regards,
