Lunarz711 shared this bug 19 months ago
Solved

I play Space Engineers on Steam PC and I cannot connect to any server as I get "Server is not responding" (I get the prompt to type the password, it accepts and just gives out "Server is not responding"). I have done the following to solve this problem but nothing has helped! I wa able to connect after 3 to 4 trys but now nothing.

1) Deleted the cfg file and Shader cache folder

2) Removed all mods.

3) Uninstalled and deleted all Space Engineers Files and Folders.

4) Formated the installed drive.

5) Reinstalled Windows 10.

Hello, Lunarz711,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue.

Can you please try to verify your game files in Steam?

-Right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Please let me know if you are still having the issue. If so, then please share your log with me. It is located in the Roaming folder in the SpaceEngineersDedicated folder. Any further information could be also helpful. Which server are you trying to connect to?

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Hello again,

thank you for the log. You said you are not using mods but I did find 13 mods installed in the game. Please, uninstall them and try to connect to servers again.

Are you having problems connecting to all servers or only specific ones? Have you tried direct connect or are you trying to connect from a list? Are you by any change using VPN which could interfere the connection? Have you tested out your internet connection to make sure it is strong enough? If you are using a laptop you can try to connect to a different wifi.

Please, let me know if you keep having problems and share your new log with me.

Thank you.

Kind regards,

I managed to connect the online Multiplayer server. I could not join any server as it was a Steam Issue, I posted this on the Steam Forum and found out the Steam servers were down for maintainence and to try after a few days, and now I tried and it worked.
