problem with the game space engineers

Solved

Good morning,

I have a problem with the game. When I try to connect to the server 167.235.6.76:27072 STARBORN, the game unexpectedly shuts down. The last thing I see is the welcome screen. This situation has been escalating because at the beginning it happened sporadically, then more frequently. On average, I managed to enter the game once in a few attempts. Currently, for two days, despite many attempts (about 20 daily), I have not been able to log in to the server. This is a problem that I have only with this server, I can enter others without any issues, and the single-player game works fine too. This problem is only happening to me. Other players on this server had such a problem before, but now it doesn't occur for them.

I would like to add that the game is on Steam. Furthermore, I have the same problem when connecting through GeForce NOW, so it is probably not an issue with my computer.

I would greatly appreciate your help as I am very interested in playing on this server.

Sincerely,

Adam Ziębiński (VolkerNemrod)

Hello, Adam,

thank you for letting us know.

Can you please provide me more information?

What do you mean by "shuts down"? Is it crashing to desktop, or just e.g. you are forced back to Main menu, but the game itself won't crash?

Can you please provide me a log file from the affected game session, so I can take a look what is happening there and if the game is really crashing to desktop?

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards

Hello,

Thank you for taking care of my problem with the game.

I am attaching the game log (case 2).

Regarding the statement that the game shuts down, there are two versions of this shutdown.

The game shuts down and I am taken to the desktop.

The game freezes, the screen goes blank, and a window pops up asking whether I want to wait or whether the system should shut down the game.

In both cases, the game shuts down completely.

This only happens when attempting to connect to the game server. The single player game works correctly.

Best regards,

Adam Ziębiński (VolkerNemrod)

Hello, Adam!

It has been a considerable amount of time since this issue was originally posted, as well as since the last comment.

Could you kindly inform us if you are still experiencing this issue in the latest version of Space Engineers (1.202.124), or if it has been resolved in the meantime?

If the issue persists, kindly send us the latest game log and the log from the Windows Event Viewer from when the issue occurred.

To get the Windows Event Viewer log, please open the Event Viewer (from the start menu, type Event Viewer). In the Event Viewer, go to Windows Logs, Application, and send the top “.NET Runtime” error from Application: SpaceEngineers.exe. (please see attached image).

To do this right, please follow these steps:

1) Select the correct file on the left side (Application)

2) Select first the .NET runtime error from the top (using default ordering)

3) Copy the large bottom text and send it to us.

Please Note: make sure that the info is from the Application: SpaceEngineers.exe

Kind Regards,

Hi Keen,

The issue with accessing the server was resolved after the latest major update. Unfortunately, the update has caused a problem on our server where we can't add mods. We suspect this might be an issue between the current game version and Torch. This is a topic for a separate report, but currently, we lack the time to address it.

If you've heard any reports about a similar problem where a server with Torch installed is preventing mod launches, I'd appreciate any information you have.

To summarize, the recent significant update resolved my initial problem, but new issues have arisen.

Best regards, Adam Ziębiński

Hello, Adam!

I am very happy to hear that your problem has been solved. As Torch is not officially supported by us there is nothing more I can do for you. However you can contact the unofficial torch community where someone could be able to help you out.

I am closing this thread as Solved, however please contact us again if you have any future problems.

Kind Regards,
