game will not open in steam
Solved
my game will not open when i press play. the play button changes blue as if it is opening the game and then turns green again as if the game is closed. I have tried uninstalling numerous times and verifying game files.

thank you for letting us know about this issue that you are experiencing.
Can you please provide me more information?
Do you see the game's splash screen after pressing the Play button, or not even that?
Was the game working for you previously, or this is the first time you are trying to launch and play the game? If it was working before, is there anything you can think of that you changed on you PC (HW/SW)?
Is the game at least trying to launch? You can say that by checking if the game produce log at all.
You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers. There are logs stored.
If the game is trying to launch and the logs are created, please send them to me (the text files named: SpaceEngineers_some numbers).

So I take it the game is not even trying to start.
You can try these general workarounds, that are helping most of the players to resolve most of the issues:
Let me know how's the situation after trying these... if it gets any better and the game is at least begin to start and create log, please share that new log with me.
