unknown signals no longer spawn in the latest beta

Hello, Sander!

Thank you for writing to us.

Could you kindly check if "Enable unknown signals" is active in the Advanced world settings? If it isn't active, kindly enable it and check if Unknown Signals spawn in the world or not.

If the issue persists, kindly send us the word save where you're experiencing this issue.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Hello Keen,

Wow! that was a quick response.

I've checked the option in advanced settings and the unknown signals seem to be enabled from the software.

I've been playing on this world from before the release of the beta and I've always had them.

Attached you'll find my worldsave.


I'm okay with the unknown signals not being there. I just wanted to assist in the development and bugfixing of the new beta.

Thank you for sharing further details with us.

It's quite possible that world saves from the previous release do not work as expected on BETA, and there are quite a few MODs active on your world save that could also be the reason for no spawning of Unknown signals.

Could you kindly check on the new vanilla (no active MODs) world again on BETA, if Unknown signals are spawning or not? Please make sure that "Enable unknown signals" is active in the Advanced world settings.
