Crashing on startup
Hello,
First of all thank you for such an awesome game! Keep up the good work :)
I have two major issues with the game
1) Crashing on startup
I have major issues when starting the client from steam that it just shuts down mid load.
Some evenings I give up after 6 crashes. But the next day I get in again.
Once you get in you never crash. Its only on loading in to the game it crashes.
I dont get the chance to send in logs like I do at some other crashes.
Are you aware of the issue?
2) Lag issues in dedicated server
On a dedicated server you can feel some rubbery effects when you move around. Its like lag but not really.
We are a few friends who play and we tried this on various different hardware and we get this issue every time.
I am going to assume that you know about this since its all over the web. Is there a fix planned?
Thanks!
Marcus from Sweden

Hello, Marcus!
We are glad to hear you are enjoying our game.
Concerning crashing on the startup issue, could you kindly provide us with additional information? Is there any plugin active in the game? If yes, kindly remove the plugin and try to launch the game. If the issue persists, kindly try the following workaround that might resolve the issue for you.
Verify your game files on Steam
Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file
Delete ShaderCache folder
If you still experience the issue, kindly send us a screen recording/video showing the issue at your end, the game's log files, and Windows Event Viewer log when experiencing this issue.
To get the Windows Event Viewer log, please open the Event Viewer (from the start menu, type Event Viewer). In the Event Viewer, go to Windows Logs, Application, and send the top “.NET Runtime” error from Application: SpaceEngineers.exe. (please see attached image).
To do this right, please follow these steps:
1) Select the correct file on the left side (Application)
2) Select first the .NET runtime error from the top (using default ordering)
3) Copy the large bottom text and send it to us.
Please Note: make sure that the info is from the Application: SpaceEngineers.exe
Concerning lag issues in DS, are there any MODs active? It is quite possible you're experiencing lags due to obsolete/broken MOD on your DS. Could you kindly check if the issue persists in the vanilla (no active MOD) DS world as well? If the issue persists in the vanilla DS, kindly send us DS vanilla world save and log files when experiencing this issue.
Kindly note we can only entertain one issue per thread, for the future, please avoid addressing two or more issues in a single thread.
Thank you for understanding.
Kind Regards,

Hello,
Thank you for reply and sorry for my delay in response.
I had to test out the things you mentioned. I removed the mods and I havent experienced the same issue after that.
We activated the mods again and its back sometimes as before.
So I am happy with that now that we know what is causing the issue.
Thanks again and keep up the good work!
