Hello, Alexander!

Thank you for writing to us.

Could you kindly elaborate on the behavior you're experiencing? Are you unable to update the game on Steam Client? If yes, are you in Online mode on Steam Client? To check it, click on the Steam option (upper left corner of your Steam Client) → in the list, the second option should be Go Offline, if it is Go Online (see the attached image), click on it, and on the pop-up screen, click on Leave Offline Mode and check if you can update Space Engineers now.

If the issue persists, kindly send a screen recording/video showing the issue at your end.

We are looking forward to assisting you with this issue.

Kind Regards,

Hello, Alexander!

Thank you for sharing additional information.

Could you try disabling your Antivirus and check if that resolves the error?

If the error persists, please try changing Steam's Download Region. For that, Open Steam > go to Settings > go to Downloads section > change Download Region (change it to a region that is still closer to your location) > Restart Steam.

Kindly let us know if any of these methods resolve your issue.

Hello, Alexander!

Sorry to hear none of the workarounds solved the issue for you.

The other workarounds you could try are;

  • Temporarily disabling Firewall
  • Run Steam as Administrator
  • Unsubscribing every item on Steam's Space Engineers workshop
  • Or clearing Steam's Download Cache

If none of the above mentioned workarounds solves the issue for you, we recommend contacting Steam's customer support since the Manifest Error isn't related to Space Engineers.

Kind Regards,
