Unknown Signal Sound Bug

Disflgured shared this bug 21 months ago
Solved

Loaded into a multiplayer survival save, with just some small animation mods and whatnot, no audio mods. Loaded into the save and got met with the sound of an unknown signal, with no unknown signal nearby and the only way to stop the noise is to turn my sound effects off. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hello, Engineer!

Sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue.

Could you provide us with some additional information?

Do other players in your multiplayer world experience the same issue?

As you have mentioned using MODs, could you kindly deactivate all the MODs and recheck if the issue persists? It is quite possible that the issue is occurring because of MODs.

If you still experience the issue, kindly send us the unmodded (no active MODs) world save file, the screen recording/video showing the behavior on your end, and the log files.

  • You can access your saved files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves. If your multiplayer world is a Dedicated Server save, the world's save file can be found in the \Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated\Saves folder.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers. If your multiplayer world is a Dedicated Server save, the log files can be found in the \Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated folder.

We are looking forward to assisting you with this issue.

Kind Regards,

Sorry for the late response, but I solved this issue by what I should've done before even making the post. I played all night with the noise and then the next day I got back on and it was gone, a simple restart probably would've solved the issue. The other person in the world could not hear the noise though, as for the other things you asked for I won't be able to provide answers for them unless the bug occurs again.
