The game suddenly stopped saving and always showed an error when I tried to end it. You couldn't close it anymore, you could only use the task manager to end the process. The GPU was at 100% as I checked but I know I have a weak PC with a weak graphics card and motherboard so it's probably the PC and not the game. In multiplayer mode, the PC would probably crash while playing because it can no longer provide the performance that the game demands.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

Could you help us by providing some additional information?

How long have you been experiencing this issue? Has it started to happen recently, or have you been encountering this issue from the beginning?

Are there any active MODs in the world you're trying to save?

Are you having this issue with a particular world save or when saving a new/fresh world as well?

As you have mentioned having basic PC hardware, could you try lowering the Quality Preset? To do so, from the Main menu, click on Options, then select Graphics, in the Graphic Options, click on Quality Preset dropdown and select Low. Save changes and recheck if the issue persists.

If you still experience the issue, kindly send us the screen recording/video showing the behavior on your end and the log files when the issue occurred.

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Welp, my game no longer starts and crashes after clicking play from Steam. I put a ticket outs 16 or 17 hours ago with no reply yet and I'm not sure what to do. I've already reinstalled it with the same issue occurring. I'm trying to avoid a clean installation so I don't lose everything. I would have to delete all files after uninstalling and I don't want to do this if there is a better solution.
