Spiel stürzt direkt nach dem laden des Start Bildschirms ab, Game crashes right after loading the splash screen

Hallo mein ( Space engineern ) spiel läd, ein kleines fester mit bild und schriftzug öffnet sich und dann soll der startbildschirm kommen da ist dann schluss ein kurzes geräusch der bildschirm bleibt schwarz nur der mauszeiger ändert sich in die spieloptik.. dannach wird das spiel beendet un kehrt autoatisch in windows zurück.

Hello, my (Space engineers) game is loading, a small window with a picture and lettering opens and then the start screen should appear, then there is a short noise, the screen remains black, only the mouse pointer changes to the game optics.. then the game ends and automatically returns to windows.

thanks for letting us know about the issue that you are experiencing and we are sorry that it is happening in a first place.

Can you please provide more information? Especially log file would be great so I can take a look what is happening with your game.

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers. Please share me the whole log file.

Hello, David,

as mentioned in the previous comment, you can find the log files in the Space Engineers folder in the Roaming folder.

To reach this folder, please write %appdata% into your Windows search bar. You will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder.

From the Space Engineers folder, please send me both – the most recent "SpaceEngineers_(some numbers)_(some other numbers)" and "VRageRender-DirectX11_(some numbers)" files.

Hello, David!

Thank you for providing the log files.

After investigating your log, it seems you are using two Displays/Monitors. Kindly disconnect one monitor and restart the game to check if it launches correctly and you can play it.

If the issue persists, please try the following workarounds that might resolve your issue.

Verify your game files on Steam

  • Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg
  • Backup your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Reinstall VC Redist 2017
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated

In case none of the above workarounds solves your issue, could you send us the new log files (as described in our previous comment) and the Windows Event Viewer log?

To get the Windows Event Viewer log, please open the Event Viewer (from the start menu, type Event Viewer). In Event Viewer, go to Windows Logs, Application, and send the top “.NET Runtime” error from Application: SpaceEngineers.exe. (please see attached image).

To do this right, please follow these steps:

1) Select the correct file on the left side (Application)

2) Select first the .NET runtime error from the top (using default ordering)

3) Copy the large bottom text and send it to us.

Please Note: make sure that the info is from the Application: SpaceEngineers.exe

I've done it all. At least the start screen comes with a screen, but unfortunately I don't see the menu. It's very, very, very easy to see in the background, but only dimly. But noises come if you accidentally hit a button with the mouse. I've attached my last log files here again

Sorry to hear none of the workarounds helped you in resolving the issue.


Although could you check if your Display Adapters are enabled and updated? You can do so by going to your PC's Device Manager > Display adapter > right-mouse-click on the adapters > Update Driver and Enable Device (if Disabled). Restart your PC and check if you still experience the issue when playing the game.

If the issue persists, as mentioned in our previous comment, could you kindly follow the steps and send us the Windows Event Viewer log when you experience this issue? It would greatly help us to investigate the root cause and provide you with relevant suggestions.
