VRage.native.dll not found
Hi,
I don't know if I'm in the right place, but I started encountering an issue with the game.
A certain .dll cant be found.. you probably had this issue reported many times and I've followed countless instructions on blogs and forums to solve this. I'm getting to the point where may start studying software engineering to get at it myself. Unfortunately I have a day job and the little time I have to relax, I want to play Space Engineers and not tear out my hair trying to get it to run.
Now, my system is probably a little outdated, but it handled the game before.
Please find attached the log file. I've tried everything I could find, so any advice would be appreciated.
I hope you get the time to have a look.
Thanks for the good times.
Kind Regards,
Ruan

Hello, Ru Jo,
thanks for reaching our forum with your issue and we are sorry that you are experiencing it.
Can you please try to re-install VC Redist 2017 to try to fix this issue on your end?
Also to some players, the issue was fixed after updating graphic drivers, so please try that as well.
If none of these would work, we have this set of fixes/workarounds, that you can try if you want:
I did also noticed from the log, that you are running the game on version 1.194. Is there any specific reason for that? Can you please try to update the game properly to version 1.201? Are you experiencing this issues on the current game version as well?
Please let me know if anything from above works for you. If not, can you please send me new log file, after performing all these steps?
Kind Regards

Thanks for getting back to me.
So, every plan has been executed, bar the roaming file deletion.
When you say backup, do I just copy it or is there a specific way of getting it done right?
I know it's probably been asked many times but could you share a link to the VC redist 2017. Just want to make sure I'm getting the right software...
Thanks again!

Hello, Ru,
thanks for the message back.
For back-up, there is no "set rules" how to do it. Just copy the whole folder and place it on other place on your PC/on other medium and delete the SE folder from Roaming file.
This folder will be created anew for you in the Roaming folder once you start the game. The back-up is only for a reason so you can prevent losing your saves, configuration file, mods, blueprints etc. and you can later copy them back so you can continue to use them in the game.
You can find the installation VC redist files here:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170
Hope this helps. Please let me know.

Thanks so much.
Unfortunately I'll be away until Jan, but I'll leave a post once it's done.

Well, Thank you so much for the help!
I got a chance to try out the VC redist download and the roaming file deletion.
WORKED LIKE A DREAM!!
And with graphics card update I'm set!!
Absolutely A1+!
