Unable to launch game, no errors presenting
I press Play in steam and the screen goes black for about 5 seconds then closes. No error messages present themselves. Looking through the logs I don't see any relevant errors. Attached is the log file. I've already tried the following:
Reinstalling
Verifying the game files
Disabling steam overlay
Changing config to open in window mode
Clean install, completely deleting all SpaceEngineers folders and reinstalling
Confirmed .net version, ran recommended repair tool (one tool was no longer available)
Reinstalled DirectX
I have played it on this computer before though it's been a few years since I last launched it. I tried attaching the Event Viewer events but it didn't like the file type, here's the text from the top 2 errors:

Hello, Thomas,
thanks for letting us know.
Since the log from the game seems really clean – no errors, exceptions etc – that would point me towards the origin of the crash, and you provided the Event Viewer log with the kernebase error, it seems that the issue is not on a game side, sadly.
The kernelbase.dll crash occurs in a wide range of games and apps in general. The crash isn't typically caused by Space Engineers and may be the result of a system issue. Hopefully, we can provide you with a solution to your issue quickly. However, we may not be able to address your issue until a future update or hotfix to Space Engineers.
In the meantime, please take the following steps:
Update Windows
Update your graphic drivers
Reinstall the Visual Studio redistributable: Download the latest version from the official Microsoft website (x86: vc_redist.x86.exe OR x64: vc_redist.x64.exe)
Run as a different user (a corrupt Windows user profile is a common source of this error)
Some players have fixed this issue using this workaround if you are willing to try it:
Add -skipintro into the game launch options
Rename / Delete "\Steam\SteamApps\common\SpaceEngineers\Content\Videos" folder
Delete this directory: \AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Promo (You can access your files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.)
Hope something from above would work for you.
Please let me know.
Kind Regards

I did -skipintro and got to the Welcome message but it closed again before advancing. I renamed the Videos folder and was able to get to the opening menu. I don't have time this second to get into a game, but if I'm unable to load a world for any reason I'll be back here. Thank you for the rapid response!
