eossdk-shipping access denied

Marcus Breiden shared this bug 17 months ago
Won't Fix

Just got Space Engineers (for my son) and we can't play the game as it directly crashes.

The win10 computer has 3 accounts. My main account (administrator) and my sons account (normal user).

My son installed Space Engineer and get's the eossdk-shipping access denied message directly after a crash.

I logged in with my own account and we started steam and logged into steam with my sons account.

I started space engineer and got a MS Install dialouge (didn't really read it though :-/) after clicking install space engineer directly started up. So problem solved.

Logged out, son logged in... space engineer crashes.

Logged out, made my son admin, son logged in... space engineer crashes.

Already reinstalled vcredist x86 and x64 in 2015-2022 and 2013 versions.. still same issue

Disabled Virus protection (BitDefender)... still the game crashes.

Works fine under my account though...

Any idea?

Hello, Marcus!

Thank you for writing to us, and sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue.

Please note that we already had a player with the same/similar issue in this thread. As you can see, they got it fixed by reinstalling VC Redist 2017. Since you have mentioned reinstalling the VC Redist, we recommend you try the following workarounds that might resolve your issue.

Verify your game files on Steam

  • Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg
  • Backup your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game
  • Make sure your operating system is fully updated

If none of the above workarounds fix your issue, could you send us your log files when experiencing this issue?

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

We are looking forward to assisting you with this issue.

Kind Regards,
