Hello,

thanks for letting us know.

Can you please provide more information?

Is this happening to some one specific save game that you have, or do your experience the same issue with all the games that you tried?

Can you please try these workarounds?

  • Verify your game files in Steam – right click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files
  • Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file (it means your game configuration will be deleted) – you can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
  • Delete ShaderCache folder – same access as above
  • Back up your whole Space Engineers Roaming folder and delete it
  • Restart Steam
  • Reinstall VC Redist 2017
  • Update graphic drivers
  • Reinstall the game

The problem also might be Win11, as you are correctly writing that the game is not supporting this OS.

If nothing from above works for you, can you please share me a log file from the game as well?

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Any additional information that you can share would help as well.

Kind Regards

leaving feedback on your site does not work i cannot log into any account and had to make a second one i despise having accounts acccross so many platforms

NOW if you actually looked at the bug report on steam you would see this already.

I have reinstalled 4x and verified the files 15x thre is NO errors found.

HOW EVER the game installs a sub launch file to the world i select and then that screan pops up. If i go more than 5 min in game that screan will pop up again and every 5 min after that.

in windows 11 the files are incorrect there is nothing in the location you are directing me to. {The file does not exist please check  your spelling.} is the pop up i get from inputting that in the search line.

All video sound and other files are up to date, and in fact my visual studio is also up to date it is vc 22.

So as only thing i see is you guys are not supporting win 11 .. there for problem is you.

Hello, walter,

thanks for the reply.

Can you please specify what "the game installs a sub launch file to the world i select" means? What sub launch file are you referring to?

Sorry to hear that you are not able to find the files in given location. However, as I'm not familiar with Windows 11 at all, I can not say whether these files are still on the exactly same place as it is/was in older systems.

Please try to look for the given folder(s) once more, and make sure you have hidden folders visible in Windows settings.

The AppData is by default in Windows a hidden folder, so if you cannot find it, you need to enable visibility of hidden folders. Here is a guide on how to do it step by step: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-see-hidden-files-in-windows/ You can access it quickly by pressing WinKey+R and typing %appdata%\SpaceEngineers. This is much easier, it works on all versions of Windows (at least those that we do support), and it doesn't require showing hidden files.

Not sure how to help you otherwise, if you are not able to provide me a log file that would show me what is going on in your game.

Thanks as well for specifying that you did reinstall the game and verify the files. Can you please confirm that you tried also all the other workarounds that I did provide?

Let me know about the current status on your side, please?

And once you succeed and find the Roaming folders, try the other workarounds and send me the log file, as requested initially, if your problem will persist.

Kind Regards
