Connector will not connect to base connector

Fernando shared this bug 2 years ago
Solved

I have deleted and reattached both connectors and still not working. The connector will not change to yellow color. I am also getting another error terminal is not connected to any ship. I have tried new games and getting same errors. I have also validated the program to check for errors. I really want to enjoy the game, but this bug is ending my fun experience.

Hello, Fernando,

thanks for letting us know.

However, when I try it on my side, the connectors are working as expected.

I would love more information on this one.

Can you please share me a save file, where this issue can be observed?

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

That would definitely help.

I would also ask to either write me down exact steps to reproduce to be able to understand what you are trying to do when you are observing this issue, or if you can share me a video showing this bug, both would help me to try to reproduce it on my side as well.

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards

Hello, Fernando,

thanks for the save.

I checked and found a way how you can connect the connecters together. They just really need to stick one to another. It is obvious that on your initial build, it wasn't possible to connect, because the connector on the base was angled in a way that the connecters never touched so they could connect. Please see my image how you could solve it by simply adding two conveyors, so the connectors will touch and connect.

Hope this will help you.

i guess it has to be really lined up to work. it took me several time until it turned yellow. I appreciate your help. I am sort of embarrassed that my bad set up was the issue lol
