Air Vents Pressurizing Space with the newest half sliding doors

Cow Cena shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

I have noticed this has been a problem in the past, but I'm building airlocks with the newish hatch doors and have, despite the room being entirely enclosed, had the air vents work the opposite as they should have. They say no air pressure when both doors are closed, but when one is open, it pressurizes space, causing the air pressure to rise and me to be able to breathe in space. So far, I have tested this on a creative world with one mod that simply adds a few sounds to the sound block. Attached below is the best image I could get showing how the air vents are broken.

Currently, I have the airlocks on a large grid station where the airlock takes out the air before opening to space and should fill the airlock before it opens to the station as a normal airlock would work. However, before I even got a chance to build the rest of the station, I tested the airlocks, as they should still fill with oxygen before emptying out into space when the doors open. This obviously did not work as I explained previously. Also, when I talked about breathing in space, I'm not sure if there is a way to see where the air is pressurized, but it seemed to only pressurize space in the surrounding area as if there was some form of air bubble around my station.

Hello, Cow Cena!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Would it please be possible to share your world where you are experiencing this issue with reliable steps for reproducing the bug? I'm afraid I have not been able to do so. Do you have any mods in your world? Please re-test without any mods and then share the world if it is still an issue.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Kind Regards
