2x1 Triangle glass reflections

Solved

Hello,

One mildly annoying thing about glass panel blocks, is the reflections on 2x1 triangle blocks, which are inconsistant between the "inner" and "outer" blocks

  • Window 1x2 Face
  • Window 1x2 Face Inv.

This makes the reflections stand out.

Here is an example for one of my cars. The side of the windshield, circled in purple, is supposed to be a flat surface made of both 1x2 windows blocks. The reflection of the middle block, the inverted version, is wrong.

I suspect the glass panels are not exactly parallel on both blocks, causing wrong reflections. Looking closer at the large block versions, it seems to be the case, the glass itself not being exactly parallel with the plane it should be. A light remodeling of those blocks should fix this problem.

  • This problem happens for both small and large ship versions of the 1x2 windows.
  • It does not happen for 1x1 windows.

Thanks for making this great game even better over time.

i was redirected to this post. It shocks me than in two years only two players noticed this bug though.

although i don't think it is a missalignment issue because it doesnt matter from witch angle you look at it, it always reflects way more than the rest of the glass pieces.

Or by missalignment we aren't talking bout geometry but reflection map?
