Random Crashes on planet, around large grid

Pierre Derange shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

Hello support team,

my game is crashing on random occasions and I cannot pinpoint the reason or reproduce the moment. I am using some mods, however, the savegame was running succesfully for several hours before and I just can't figure out what's triggering the crash to desktop.

The crashes are not happening in space or when I am away from my base (below 20k PCU)

Sometimes, when a crash frequently happens after a certain amount of time passing after loading my last autosave, I can "navigate around" the crash moment by remote controlling something in space or outside of my base. Even standing or sitting afk is causing a crash, so I guess there is some animation going on which is crashing the game (judging by the log), but that's all I got so far.

I saw in your troubleshooting guide that updating the GPU driver on AMD is fixing some problems, but in this case it didn't. For testing reasons I turned down my gras density to zero since it was causing problems on the RX 5700 but that also did not help me.

My PC:

AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor 3.40 GHz

AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT / AMD Software Adrenalin Ediiton Version 22.3.1 (released on 09.03.2022)

16,0 GB RAM

Windows 10 Home Version 21H1

Hello, Pierre!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

Unfortunately, we can only deal with un-modded world issues. Please remove all mods and supply a new log from an un-modded world where the problem happenes. We can then take a look at this for you :)

Kind Regards

Laura, QA Department
